warning - defined as
A‘to inform someone in
advance of a possible danger,
problem, or other unpleasant
situation or to give (some-
one) cautionary advice about
their actions or conduct’. That
said, it is somewhat ironic,
borderline baffling, that Mex-
ican hotshots The Warning
are anything but what the dic-
tionary describes their name
to be. Having said that, this
band, a trio of sisters, should
come with a warning sticker
attached. Their music is su-
perb. Their new album, 'Keep
Me Fed', is destined to be a
huge hit, taking them to even
greater heights than they

achieve in an incredibly short
timespan. And, once intro-
duced to them, you'll be
hooked. So, don't let us say we

oining Black Velvet are all three Villarreal
JVélez sisters. Daniela or Dany, Paulina,
who goes by Pau, and Alejandra or Ale to every-
one she introduces herself to, us included, and
when you first meet these girls there is so much
that hits you at once.
You cannot miss their friendliness and warmth.
We have the pleasure of speaking to the girls at
London's historic Kentish Town Forum on the final
night of their 19-date European and UK tour which
they have packed into a gruelling 24-day sched-
ule, in which time, they have performed to adoring
fans, who are rapidly growing in numbers, in
Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Germany,
Czech Republic, France, Holland, Scotland, Wales
and England… in less than four weeks!
Given these facts, you'd forgive them for being
tired and worn out from the grind and being less
than fully enthusiastic to spend time chatting with
