ctober 2017 saw the release of a new Hardcore Su- A – Adde. What do you most love about Adde?
Vic Zino: He’s a phenomenal musician and
Operstar single, ‘Have Mercy On Me’, and a European songwriter. He’s not just a drummer. He’s the
main songwriter. He comes up with all the
tour which kicked off in the UK before heading around main- ideas and then we work through them together.
land Europe with Fozzy, Madame Mayhem and The Last He’s a visionary. He’s always looking for new
challenges to develop this band, and is always
Band. Jocke Berg, Vic Zino, Martin Sandvik and Magnus the creative one. Well, we’re all creative; he just
                                                                                  doesn’t ever stop.
Adde Andreasson have been working on a new album, ‘You
Can’t Kill My Rock N’ Roll’, which is set for release in 2018 B – ‘Beg For It’. ‘Beg For It’ was the first album
to be released after you joined the band and
and if ‘Have Mercy On Me’ is anything to go by, it will blow was released on Nuclear Blast Records. Did
you have much input? How did you feel con-
your mind. While we anxiously await the release, we fig- tributing to that album?
ured we’d spotlight some of the most important elements VZ: The demos were written when I joined, so
all I contributed with was the structure of the
of Hardcore Superstar, running from A to Z, for both old fans songs. It wasn’t only me getting in and just
playing. We worked on it together as well after
and new. We asked guitarist Vic Zino 26 questions beginning the songs were written. I think I had a lot of
with A for Adde – all the way to Z for Zlatan. input in how it sounded and the way we play.
