And Justice
ome say there is no justice in the world and at times it can seem that way. It can espe-
Scially be apparent in the music business where individuals and bands, no matter how
talented, cannot catch the break and receive the attention and reward so many feel they de-
serve. But there are also times when hard graft and determination will eventually win the
day - and that day may have finally come for Swedish glam metal outfit Crazy Lixx with their
fifth studio album, ‘Ruff Justice’. The timing is also very fitting as it marks the 15th anniver-
sary of their formation. It could be that their patience has been rewarded, as the 10-track ef-
fort represents arguably their best work in some time, if not their best yet. It’s a justified
reward as well, because as the group’s sole surviving original members, singer Danny Rexon
and drummer Joel Cirera, tell Black Velvet it comes after Crazy Lixx reached a critical cross-
roads in their career. With just Danny and Joel left from the initial incarnation of the band,
they had to decide whether it was time to hang up mic stands, guitar picks and drumsticks
or to again put in the hard graft and find new blood to bring fresh life to the band. Thankfully
they chose the latter and the results are impressive. Maybe there IS justice after all.
