he Dead Daisies are a band of men who have lived life and are continuing to live it in
Tthe best way possible. They get to live the dream, touring the world playing to fans of
all races, ages and backgrounds. They get to create music that comes from the heart and give
it to fans who will take it to theirs. But it hasn’t always been that easy, especially in their early
careers and lives. Here, bassist Marco Mendoza opens up about how, as a fearful young intro-
vert, he became a drug addict, eventually getting busted, and now he flies the flag for sobriety.
He has turned his life around from a scared addict to a man with an attitude of gratitude.
