Turning Negatives Into Positives
eaf Havana are focused now. From
Dthe outside it looked like the world
was their oyster when they were touring
‘Old Souls’. They were signed to a major
label, played Reading and Leeds Festival,
and embarked on a US tour. That all sounds
great, right? But as a unit, James Veck-
Gilodi, Matt Veck-Gilodi, Lee Wilson, Tom
Ogden and Max Britton were having a tough
time. They weren’t selling out shows, they
weren’t making money, and there was a
sense of loneliness, depression and separa-
tion creeping in. And when James decided
to do a solo tour, that created more uncer-
tainty. But now the band are back and
sounding even better than ever. And their
stunning new album, ‘All These Countless
Nights’ entering the UK album charts at
number 5, has cemented that.
