very now and then when we get to interview bands, we get to go beneath the surface;
Ethe musician we’re talking to opens up, is super-honest and tells us things we didn’t
know… sometimes things we’ve never heard them tell anyone before. It’s incredible when you
find the artist in a place of vulnerability, almost talking to you like a close friend, revealing
parts of themselves that you don’t see when you’re just watching them play live. This latest
interview with John Rzeznik is one of our favourites due to him being so incredibly honest.
It gives an insight into how the life of a touring rock star is not all just glitz and glamour.
There’s darkness too. But it looks like there’s light at the end of the tunnel – just like there’s
sunshine pictured in the box on the sleeve of Goo Goo Dolls’ new album, ‘Boxes’.
