                  PUNK ROCK PAMPERING

Be the best YOU you can be. That’s on the outside, as well
as the inside. Here are a few products that we’ve been
using over the past few months that help us look and feel
              our best.

The Body Shop Edelweiss Daily Serum Concentrate & Eye Serum
              Concentrate
The Body Shop’s Edelweiss range are such great products when it comes to hydration of
the skin. The eye serum concentrate and daily serum concentrate are like tasty drinks that
your face will lap up. They sink in fast, leaving no stickiness or unpleasant layer, and just gen-
erally bestow your skin with goodness. Previously known as Drops Of Youth, this range (which
also includes a smoothing day cream, cleansing concentrate, liquid peel and bouncy sleeping
mask) are very beneficial and well worth trying. The concentrate is said to have 45% more
antioxidant power than retinol, it’s made from 99% ingredients of natural origin and gives 24hr
moisture. Now, with twice the amount of edelweiss that Drops Of Youth had, the vegan serum
also includes natural-origin peptides. The eye serum is one that sinks in and doesn’t irritate
the eyes, while giving your undereyes a lovely boost. The concentrates are affordable at £30
for the 30ml Daily Serum Concentrate bottle and £24 for the 10ml Eye Concentrate.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
The funny thing is, we were sent The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution by mistake
when we ordered another product by The Ordinary on eBay - but that mistake was one of the best things
that could have happened, as we would probably not have tried the AHA + BHA had it not been for that
slip-up by the seller. While she ended up later sending us the product we’d originally ordered, we got to
keep this one too - and discovered what a gem it was. So, what is an AHA and BHA we hear you say,
if you haven’t tried one before? Well, AHA stands for Alpha Hydroxy Acid and BHA is Beta Hydroxy
Acid. These acids are not as harsh as they may sound, and the two together help to gently exfoliate
and ‘peel’ the skin. Used in combination, they can refresh the skin, by aiding the shedding of the skin
cells on the surface of your skin. They can help reduce the visible effects of acne, repair sun-damaged
skin and improve the effects of ageing. The novelty of The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling So-
lution is that it is a blood red colour, which can make for some fun photos, as you look like you’ve been
savaged by a vampire. It is also a bargain at only £8.40 for 30ml. Upon trying the product, we noticed
a smoother, clearer appearance and a fresh glow. It helps close pores and just generally improve the
look of your skin. If your face is looking dull and begging for attention, try this AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peel-
ing Solution and be amazed by the result. Like the above products, this is vegan and cruelty-free. A
definite product to add to your skincare arsenal.

                                              Lime Crime Unicorn Hair
We’ve loved Lime Crime’s make-up for a decade or two, but now, Lime Crime’s hair dye is on sale
in the UK and it’s also quickly become a firm favourite. Usually priced at £14.50 or £15, Boots and Pret-
tyLittleThing have both had Lime Crime’s Unicorn Hair on offer at under £10 - Boots at £9.67 and Pret-
tyLittleThing at £9.25. Born in the U.S.A., Lime Crime’s Unicorn Hair is well worth snapping up at this
price, saving a third. The colours themselves come with their own individual names - Juicy for the bright
pink, Valentine for vibrant red, Mystic for bold blue and Genie a purply plum colour. There are more, but

those are the items that we picked
up. The colours are all very vibrant.
              We particularly love Juicy, which
lasts much longer than some other
brands and really stands out. The
              hair colours are semi-permanent, so
they don’t last forever, but do last for
a few washes. Their 200ml contain-
ers are also bigger than some other
hair dyes, which may only be 118ml
or 100ml. Lime Crime are 100%
              vegan, PETA-approved and cruelty-
free. They also boast that the for-
mula is a damage-free formula. The
dye has an amazing fragrance too.
It looks good, smells good, what is
              not to like? Visit www.limecrime.com
