T time. So, when some
precious time is lost, it makes
it all the more important to do
whatever you can do to make
the most of what is left - and,
with fifth studio album ‘Tur-
borider’ now powering into
our eardrums, Finnish rockers
Reckless Love are not only
back to doing what they do

in 2022.
ver since their sublime, self-titled
Edebut album in 2010, the Reckless
Love gang have worn their 80s-influenced
hearts on their sleeves and their maiden sin-
gle ‘Beautiful Bomb’ was not only attention-
grabbing, but a welcome nod back to an era
full of happy nostalgic memories for so

But, since then, they have proved that
they are far from a nostalgia act or a one-

leased on March 25th, 2022.

his recently-born son, but more so excited

stage full-time on the back of ‘Turborider’,
after suffering various false starts and de-
pean tour, which was rescheduled.
With the title track of the new album de-
scribed as defining the change they have
gone through during their recent absence,
we begin by asking what prompted this time
away from the spotlight and whether it was
a plan or a requirement.
“It was planned. It was needed,” Olli
replies. “But it was planned differently, so
part of it was bad luck, which was the pan-
demic. We didn’t plan that,” he adds with a
chuckle. “After 2018 we decided it was time
to take a break. We’d been touring pretty
much non-stop for eight years. I didn’t have
any family back then, but the rest of the
