outbreak of COVID-19 had on the entire planet, we saw many characters for who they truly were,
whether that be good or bad. It was much the same for long-serving rock musician Toby Jepson, who
turned a negative situation into a very positive one, using the time when he should have been touring and
promoting the second Wayward Sons album into time well spent. And from it came many things, least
of all the band’s third album, 'Even Up The Score'. But the time spent locked away safely at home also
showed Toby, maybe not in a new light, but a clearer one. Embracing social media channels and their ad-
vantages, he worked tirelessly to entertain fans during the dark months, but also opened himself to his
own character, making his opinions on life and the world more obvious than ever, while always working
to retain a balanced and fair opinion and respect for others - which, in turn, bled prominently through the
songs and lyrics of the new record making it by far the band’s most thought-provoking work yet.
