Dream Alight

t's a story as old as time; the all-important second album. A new band comes along, emerges onto
I the scene in a blaze of glory and sets the stage alight with the majesty of their talents and leaves
a wave of new fans hungry for more. But they are also impatient. And herein lies the problem. Because
quite often, that first album is the result of years of work. Years of toil and graft, honing their sound
and perfecting their craft to come up with the perfect debut record to capture the hearts and minds of
those who will listen. And then, when lightning strikes, the band is set with the task of trying to capture
it in a bottle a second time, but with a far shorter time frame to work with in order to satisfy the enthu-
siastic listeners before the next big thing comes along and draws their attention away. Fortunately for
The Dust Coda, the follow up to their self-titled debut proved to be no such problem and 'Mojo Skyline'
is a representation of a band who has clearly not lost any of its mojo, but has bags of it to spare.
