or some, music is pure fun. For others, it’s a purpose. It’s not just something you want to do, but
Fsomething you HAVE to do. In some cases, music may be your only friend, the thing that helps you
forget your troubles. Something to rely on when there’s no-one else that you can. When you are truly en-
gulfed in music it is a magical experience. And when you find a band you can look up to, with musicians
you can relate to, there is nothing better. From Ashes To New are one of those bands with a sense of purpose.
Original member Matt Brandyberry is a man who has battled self-esteem, doubters and just not fitting
in. But by not fitting in, he is standing out. Now with Lance Dowdle, Danny Case and Mat Madiro by his
side and their album, ‘The Future’, being released earlier this year, there is no stopping From Ashes To New.
