The Darkness are known to bring joy on the run up to the holiday season and with new album ‘Motorheart’ being released less than a month
earlier, on November 19th, rock fans’ hearts are even more full than usual.
Lancashire rockers Massive Wagons are first onto the stage at 8pm. Punkish and impassioned, the quintet features Barry ‘Baz’ Mills on vocals.
He has fantastic stage presence, covering all corners of the stage while whipping his hair around, holding the mic stand up, putting his middle finger
up and commanding attention. Aside from their own punk rock ‘n’ roll anthems such as ‘Fee Fi Fo Fum’ and ‘Bangin’ In Your Stereo’, the Northern
outfit also cover The Clash’s ‘I Fought The Law’ and Cheap Trick’s ‘Surrender’, two very different tunes, but both fitting into the set well. Barry does
such a high kick, he could challenge any judo black belt champion. These guys can definitely defeat any opponent.
