styles to fit fashion or to do something new – yet at the same time they
do continue to grow, but not in a way that alienates their fans. Tonight’s
show is not a surprise – it’s one that you know you’re going to love every
second of and you do. With most bands there are songs you adore more
than others, and songs you’d rather skip, but with a Papa Roach set, vir-
tually every song deserves to be there. They have a passion and a con-
tagious energy so the pace rarely falls. Songs such as ‘Getting Away With
Murder’ and ‘Broken As Me’ have that dark edge yet the pace and tune
are electrifying and stimulating. ‘Hollywood Whore’ whips up the crowd
while frontman Jacoby Shaddix tells the crowd he thanks God he found
a healthy way to release demons, before the band perform early hit ‘Bro-

fest’ with its reggae style, although ‘Kick In The Teeth’ follows it and really
does kick it in the teeth. ‘Lifeline’ brings a smile and brightness while the
band leave ‘Last Resort’, ‘Scars’ and then ‘…To Be Loved’ for the encore.
The Papa Roach show is definitely a calorie burner. It’s easy to love these
guys, and their show is one you’ll want to relive over and over.
